Renowned therapist Dr. Richard Schwartz speaks of “no bad parts”-the idea that all aspects of ourselves, even the ones that feel anxious, angry, or overwhelmed, exist for a reason, often to protect us. This belief is deeply aligned with how I understand people, both as an individual and as a therapist. I work collaboratively with my clients to compassionately explore these parts before addressing the symptoms they create. This really is at the core of my clinical work.
My approach is grounded in a Person-Centered perspective, which holds that genuine connection and emotional safety within the therapeutic relationship are essential for meaningful, lasting change. I bring warmth, authenticity, and a nonjudgmental presence to every session. As an attachment-focused therapist, I also help clients make sense of early and ongoing relational patterns and how these experiences shape their current emotional landscape.
As a woman of color and an immigrant, I remain deeply attuned to each client’s unique cultural context and lived experience. My approach is integrative rather than one-size-fits-all-I draw from a variety of evidence-based methods to tailor care to your specific needs. I am certified in TEAM Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and EMDR, and also bring expertise in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy. I firmly believe that therapy is meant to work and create long-lasting change that is observable. Former clients describe my work as compassionate, attentive, and effective. Many report leaving therapy with a stronger connection to themselves, deeper relationships, and an overall improved quality of life.
